Work begins on crucial stage of Grantham southern relief road

It'll cost over £100 million pounds

Work has begun on the next phase of Grantham's southern relief road which the council says will be the gateway to Lincolnshire.

The road will be around two miles long when its complete and will link the A52 at Somerby Hill in the town to the A1.

It'll cost over one hundred million pounds, with around forty million of that coming from Lincolnshire County Council, but they say the project is worth it.
