Three men jailed for theft of rail cables near Grimsby.

Nearly five hundred metres were taken.

Three men have been jailed for their part in the theft of nearly five hundred metres of cable from Grimsby railway lines...

The trio all from Scunthorpe were sentenced to a total of 28 months they included Shaun Kirk aged 23 from Sheffield Street and 25 year old Robert Arrand from Laceby Road.

It's thought the group cost Network Rail nearly fifteen hundred pounds in repair work and compensation.

Trains were brought to a halt last July as a result of their actions following signal failure near to Grimsby.
