Terminally Ill RAF Veteran wins pension campaign

Samantha McConnell was originally told her young twins wouldn't be given financial support

The Defence Secretary has stepped in to make sure the children of a terminally ill forces veteran get her pension when she dies.

Samantha McConnell from Lincoln was originally told her young twins wouldn't be given financial support - because they were born too long after she retired from her role in the RAF.

But that decision has now been reversed - she says she's determined that no one else will have to go through a similar experience.
