Spalding area food larder sees huge increase in demand

It's led to fears about the financial impact coronavirus is having on some families

The full financial impact of the pandemic on some families has been shown by a food larder in the Spalding area helping 5 times more people this April compared to last.

41 accessed the service in 2019- that number increased to 263 in 2020.

There's a wide range of reasons- including issues with the free school meal packages and people applying for universal credit for the first time in their lives.
