Skegness pensioner faces 10 years in prison after stabbing

A man from Skegness has been sent to jail for a decade after stabbing another man with a kitchen knife.

66-year-old Ian Brown, of Scarborough Avenue, was given a 10-year sentence after being found guilty of wounding with intent - following an argument last August.

The victim was left with severe wounds to his side. He struggled home before calling for help.

OIC Rebecca Latto, CID Skegness, said: “The two men were having a drink together on the night of 6 August last year, and upon having an argument; Brown has stabbed the victim, inflicting severe wounds on his side."

"This left the victim struggling back home before he managed to phone for help. This kind of violence and out-of-control behaviour showed that the offender needed to be put before the courts and punished for his actions.”
