Security review carried out ahead of Lincoln Christmas market

Event begins later today

Police have reviewed security for Lincoln's Christmas market following last weeks terror attack on London Bridge. 

Around a quarter of a million people are expected to attend the market which begins later today.

The review has concluded the correct safety measures are in place including specially-designed bollards to prevent drivers from going down certain roads during the market.

Chief Superintendent Nikki Mayo is Gold Commander for the event and says that isn't the only safety precaution...
