Plans to freeze prices for Lincoln Christmas Market

There are plans to freeze prices for traders who decide to return to Lincoln Christmas Market this year.

But, any new stallholders face an 8% hike on the 2017 fees - meaning a basic plot in the Castle grounds will cost just under 2 thousand pounds.

City Councillors will make a decision tonight - they faced HUGE critcism last year for cancelling the last day because of predicted heavy snow that wasn't as severe as predicted..

At the time some businesses declared they wouldn't be coming back...and the move had caused major damage to the event's reputation.
