Organisers of the Louth Christmas Markets say they're not prepared to put people's safety at risk, as they announce the event is cancelled for 2020.

The Louth Independent traders, which organises the even, don't feel social distancing will be possible at the market, which attracts 4 thousand people.

Gary Dennis, the chairman, says he's gutted they had to make this decision.

Meanwhile, the Boston Markets have re-opened today,with several measures in place.

Visitors must stick to the 2 metre guidance and only touch products they wish to buy.
