Onshore work begins on £2billion Triton Knoll project

57km of underground cables need to be installed

Works officially begins in Stickney today on the 2 billion pound Triton Knoll windfarm project.

Around 300 drills will be powering underneath roads, rivers and drains to create the network which will eventually bring enough energy ashore to power 800,000 homes.

The farm itself will be located off the coast of Skegness.

Today marks the beginning of construction on the onshore electrical system which'll run between Anderby Creek and Bicker Fen.
