New drive to cut obesity in Nottinghamshire

The County Council want more takeaways to join their healthy eating scheme

There is set to be a new drive to cut obesity in Nottinghamshire by getting more takeaways to promote healthier options on their menu.

The County Council meet later to look at pushing their scheme to help cut obesity rates, that means getting fast food shops to look at offering salad and water rather than chips and fizzy drinks

At the moment just over a quarter of people are severely overweight.
