Lincolnshire's Police Commissioner has welcomed new proposals to raise council tax to help fund forces across England and Wales.

A consultation will now take place - but it could mean a hike of as much as 24 pounds a year for a band D home.

The PCC for Humberside - Keith Hunter - says they're passing the buck to tax payers. But Marc Jones says it's a good idea - as long as it doesn't come along with national taxation as well.
