Lincolnshire's hospitals will be £8 million more in debt than planned

They've told councillors today it's because they haven't recieved extra government money as they've failed to meet several NHS targets.

The trust running Lincolnshire's hospitals say they'll be almost 8 million pounds more in debt than they'd planned to be.

Health bosses say winter pressures, having to pay for more agency staff and having to cancel operations because a lack of beds are all to blame.

This means by the end of the financial year they'll have an overspend of almost 55 million pounds.
