Lincolnshire Police insist they do have enough firearms officers working in the county

Despite a survey showing many of their frontline staff do not agree

The Police Federation found that around 80 per cent of those they asked were not sure they would be able to get armed officers to the scene of a crime quickly if needed.

It also found many would be willing to carry a gun at all times while on duty.

Assistant Chief Constable Shaun West says the research is out of date, as the force has now brought in more armed police.
