Lincolnshire police consider redundancies unless they get extra funding

They would also cut PCSO numbers by 40%

Lincolnshire police will consider making redundancies if they do not get the extra funding they have asked for.

Officer numbers have already fallen over recent years but they are looking at axing 60 positions such as dog handlers and those who police the roads.

PSCOs will also be cut by 40% leaving fewer than 70 on patrol across the County.

In a report published this morning Chief Constable Bill Skelly warns the shortfall will effect their ability to respond to major incidents.
