Inspection reports rates their recording as "inadequate"
A report has rated Lincolnshire police as inadequate for failing to record thousands of crimes a year including some violence and sexual offences.
Inspectors say there are 'unacceptable failings' within the force's crime recording practises.
They found that almost 20 percent of serious crimes went unrecorded with particular concerns about domestic abuse.
They also critised the lack of supervision to correct mistakes at the earliest opportunity.
The force is vowing to improve.
