It follows a freedom of information request

It's been revealed the Trust that runs Lincolnshire's Hospitals ran up nearly four million pounds in fines for missing key waiting time targets over the last four years.

A Freedom of Information Request found that United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust was fined, after failing to meet targets for A and E, cancer treatment and planned operations.

The Trust says it's constantly making efforts to improve its performance and highlights the Big Change programme at Boston Pilgrim Hospital which has helped speed the flow of patients through its accident and emergency department.
