It's understood Karl McCartney is one of 12 MPs whose expenses are being looked at by police
Lincoln's MP has led a heated meeting with the Conservative party chairman, criticising party officials saying they're dodging the blame over claims of overspending.
Karl McCartney is understood to be one of twelve MPs who the police are looking into, because of allegations that money spent on an election battle bus in 2015 wasn't declared correctly.
Mr McCartney denies the accusations saying his accounts were returned in accordance with the law and advised by the party that it was a national expense.
It's believed the group told party chairman Patrick Mcloughlin yesterday about concerns they weren't told about a report soon to be published by the Electoral Commission.
