County Council says plan for Lincolnshire healthcare isn't good enough

They've released their official reply to the Sustainability and Transformation plan.

Plans for the future of the NHS in Lincolnshire may make healthcare worse for some communities.

That's according to the County Council, who have released their official response to the Sustainability and Transformation plan.

They say claims that proposals are 'better, by and large' aren't reassuring and that any changes could ultimately prove unsafe.

Options on the table include downgrading the A&E in Grantham to an urgent care unit as well as centralising maternity services in Lincoln.

Leader Martin Hill is concerned that it could leave some patients isolated.
