It's feared the Lincoln Grand Prix cycle race may have reached the end of the line after more than 60 years

Organisers say if they can't secure funding in the next 3 months, this years event will be cancelled and is unlikely to ever return

The event has attracted some of the best cyclists in the country

It attracts around ten thousand spectators on the ground and has a television audience of about 7 million.

But a key sponsor has pulled out leaving them 20 thousand pounds short of covering costs.
