Huge gaps in health and life expectancy across North East Lincolnshire

People living in Waltham are expected to live for a decade longer than those living just 15 minutes away - on Grimsby's East Marsh.

New stats from the Office for National Statistics have also revealed a huge difference in how long people across the area can expect to live without serious health issues.

In Waltham men and women live to be 83 on average - enjoying good health until they're into their seventies.

That's in stark comparison to the East Marsh - where men are expected to live for 71 years and women for 76.

Once residents get into their 50s many pick up long term health problems, which impact on their quality of life.
