Hopes that Novartis site in Grimsby can be sold to create jobs

Almost 400 workers will lose their job at the pharmaceutical company

Plans to develop the Novatis Site in Grimsby are already underway, after the pharmaceutical company announced it's closure resulting in the loss of nearly 400 jobs.

Grimsby's MP Melanie Onn has written a letter to the minister for business, to request the building is either sold to another buyer or modernised so it can continue producing medicines.

She says losing the jobs, which have been valued by workers, will be a huge blow to the town.
