Grimsby man pleads guilty to smuggling cocaine

It was one of the biggest ever hauls of cocaine intercepted in British waters.

A Grimsby man is among three people found trying to smuggle more than 80 million pounds' worth of cocaine into the UK.

57 year old David Pleasants was among the group onboard a UK registered fishing boat, which was boarded by National Crime Agency and Border Force officers off the Cornish coast last August.

Pleasants and a second man, who's Dutch, admitted to importing class A drugs at the start of their trial.  A jury in Bristol has now found the boat's skipper also guilty of the offence
