A Grimsby couple have been jailed for a total of 15 years for manslaughter - after a homeless man was attacked and killed in the town centre.

44 year old Marc Finnie from Sutcliffe Avenue will serve 8 years and his wife 36 year old Sarah Finnie has been given 7.

In January Mr Finnie kneed Tony 'Tosh' Richardson in the face and punched him in the head at the Old Market Place.

He acted after a call from his wife Sarah Finnie who worked as a security guard at Freshney Place.

She was annoyed because Mr Richardson kept taunting her.

She used the CCTV network to help guide her partner to where he was and then turned cameras away so he could carry out the 'revenge beating'.

Yesterday a third man - 35 year old Gary Clarke, formerly of Roberts Street who also worked as a security guard has been cleared of assisting an offender.
