Former addicts in Lincoln call for betting machines to be scrapped

The government announced major change this week to betting terminals

Former gamblers in Lincoln says the government is not doing enough to control betting.

This week, Westminster confirmed the maximum stake on betting-shop games, including fruit machines, will be cut to £2 from the current £100.

But bookmakers are warning it could potentially put thousands of jobs at risk, as fixed-odds betting terminals are a significant source of revenue for them.

Recovering addicts have told Lincs FM jobs should not be the priority.
