Environment Agency accused of "playing down" Boston flood risk

Some gardens were left waterlogged

The Environment Agency has been accused of 'playing down' the risk of flooding in Boston earlier this month.

Water began seeping from the area around the bank - after it had been excavated, and wasn't the normal width with some gardens becoming water logged .

A group of Lincolnshire County Councillors have now criticised the response saying there was poor communication with local people.

The Environment agency's apologised, saying the risk of damage was 'relatively low'.
