Emergency services for further rain in Lincolnshire and Newark

Standing water and flooding caused problems yesterday

Further rain overnight has meant there's still a danger of flooding in Lincolnshire and Newark.

Some flood warnings remain in place meaning there's a serious danger to homes and businesses.

We'll have the latest details on the hour just after the news throughout today.

Weather forecasters are expecting further heavy rain this afternoon with emergency services bracing themselves for more disruption. 

Two schools remain closed and a number of roads are still affected by yesterdays torrential rain

Over fifty roads were affected yesterday, with the rail-line between Lincoln and Grimsby also affected for a time, after a tree fell on the line at Holton Le Moor.

Firecrews had to rescue people trapped in cars in Horncastle and Hagworthingham...along with some children on a bus near Belchford.  Crews also pumped water out of the boiler at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.
