Conservative Society gets back social media after freedom of speech row

After days of controversy, Lincoln Students' Union have allowed the Conservative Society access to social media once more.

They were told to stop tweeting a few days ago and faced an apparent investigation over messages they had posted about free speech, which were critical of the union and the university.

It led to an outcry, with people across the country backing the society on social media.

The Student's Union say they can't comment on the specifics of the case, but will be undertaking a full review of their policies on free speech on campus.
