Claims turning off streetlights in parts of Lincolnshire hasn't led to a rise in road accidents

The AA's worried the move is making journeys more dangerous.

It's claimed the reduction in street lighting across Lincolnshire has had no detrimental impact on road safety.

The County Council has responded to concerns raised by the AA suggesting crashes have increased in areas across the country where lights have been switched off.

Two thirds in the region are only on for part of the night.

But John Monks from the county council says they have been guided by advice from the police.
