Barton air raid shelter re-opened

It's been renovated by the residents, staff and volunteers at Options Applegate.

One of the last remaining public aid raid shelters in Barton Upon Humber is set to re-open today following a renovation.

It's in the grounds of Options Applegate house and has been restored by residents, staff and volunteers at the site which carers for adults with Autism.

To add to the atmosphere, wartime relics such as gas masks and whistles have been put up along with propaganda posters.
