Backlog of potholes builds up in Lincolnshire

Over 5,000 potholes were left untouched in Lincolnshire in the first 4 months of the year, despite being reported to the County Council.

A total of more than 17 thousand were logged - but the Wintery weather meant teams were called to do extra gritting runs resulting in a huge backlog.

The Council insist it IS now beginning to catch up.

They've set aside 12 million to improve the roads - but argue they'd need hundreds of millions to bring them up to scratch and they don't get given enough money from the Government.
