A thirteen year old Grantham girl who's had over ten brain surgeries in a year is throwing a charity ball

Chloe Russell has suffered with a neurological illness for most of her life

She's currently being treated at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

It means she missed out on a prom earlier this year being held by Grantham's air cadets, of which she's a member.

After being admitted back into hospital, Chloe asked her dad to organise a ball to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

It's taking place at Kelham Hall in Newark on September 28, and Pete Russell is hoping they can pack out the venue.

More information about the event can be found on its Facebook page.
