Ed Sheeran - Don't
22 year-old Ed is from Halifax, West Yorkshire. After learning the guitar he began writing songs at school and recorded his first record, the Orange Room EP in 2005. A turning point in his music career was hearing an interview with James Morrison describing how many gigs he’d done in a year. Ed decided the way to gain success was to do the same. In 2009 he performed at over 300 gigs which led on to first record deal. In 2011 Ed’s debut single ‘The A Team’ debuted at Number 3 while his album ‘+’ went straight to Number 1. Since then, Ed has had another 5 Top 10 songs including ‘Everything Has Changed’ with Taylor Swift. This is the 2nd single from his 2nd album ‘X’, which has spent 9 weeks at Number 1 and follows the Number 1 ‘Sing’. ‘Don’t’ is co-written by Ed and Benny Blanco who also wrote ‘California Girls’ for Katie Perry, ‘Diamond’ for Rihanna as well as Rixton’s ‘Me And My Broken Heart’. Ed has won 2 Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award.
