Tributes to former Town chairman

Peter Furneaux has passed away

Tributes are being paid to the former Grimsby Town chairman Peter Furneaux who's died.

He was at the helm of the club during more than ten years in what's now the championship and appointed Alan Buckley who guided the Mariners to their most successful period ever.  

In a statement current Director John Fenty described Mr Furneaux's contribution to the club as "enormous" adding he was Grimsby Town through and through.

He also said their thoughts are with his family.
