20th January

Over one thousand eight hundred fans travelled to Barnet but Lincoln City could only manage a share of the points.

They came away with a 1-1 draw.

James Wilson nabbed his debut goal for the side.

13th January

Lee Frecklington made his return to Lincoln City count in a fiery encounter with Notts County yesterday.

The game ended 2-all with goals from Frecklington and Matt Green…but it was the actions of the referee that was questioned by the sell-out crowd at Sincil Bank.

At least two penalty appeals were rejected, a potential red card over-ruled and a late goal disallowed, while early on, Imps manager Danny Cowley was sent to the stands.

He believes the Imps should have won.

12th January

Danny Cowley has been named League Two manager of the month for December.

The Imps boss gained 13 points from a possible 15 over the Christmas period, moving into the automatic promotion places.

He'll split the honour with his assistant - brother Nicky.

It's a home draw for Lincoln City in the quarter finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.

The Imps host League One Peterborough United the Tuesday after next.

City host Notts County this weekend.

Manager Danny Cowley just had his squad bolstered by new signings Lee Frecklington from Rotherham United and academy Ellis Chapman.

Both are eligible for the game against second placed County.

11th January

Lincoln City's league match against Mansfield Town has been rescheduled for the 6th of March.

It's after the Imps made it through to the last 8 of the Checkatrade Trophy.

We'll find out who they're opponents are in that competition later today.

9th January

Lincoln City are through to the quarter finals of the Checkatrade Trophy. 

The Imps won at League One side Rochdale 1 nil.

They’re now two games away from Wembley.

They’ll find out who they’ll play in the next round when the draw takes place on Thursday. 

2nd January

It was an unfortunate start to the year for Lincoln City.

The Imps went down 4-2 to top of the table Luton.

Ipswich Town winger Danny Rowe has become Lincoln City's first signing of the January transfer window.

He's joining on loan until the end of the season.

The 25 year old had been training at Sincil Bank over the Christmas period, although the Imps had to wait to complete the deal.

30th December

Lincoln City are 3rd in League  beating Forest Green 2-1 yesterday.  Matt Rhead scored both goals for the Imps.  They’ve now won their last five home games.

26th December

Lincoln City secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Stevenage yesterday.

It take their unbeaten run to 6 games - goals came from Harry Anderson, Matt Green and Josh Ginnelly.

Manager Danny Cowley says it was a good win - considering the squad has been hit by illness

23rd December:

Lincoln City managed a goal-less draw against a ten man Newport County. 

Mark O Brien was the man sent off for the home side.  The draw does see the Imps' unbeaten run now stretch to five games.

16th December

Lincoln secured a 2-nil win over a 10 man Accrington at Sincil Bank yesterday.

Matt Green and Matt Rhead got the goals.

12th December:

Key Lincoln City forward Matt Rhead has signed a contract extension - keeping him with the Imps until summer 2019.

He's scored 41 goals in little over 2 seasons at Sincil Bank, and was a key player during last season's FA Cup run.

He even shot to national fame after a confrontation with Joey Barton during the Imps' match against Burnley, which they won 1 - nil.

25th November:

Lincoln City secured a 3-1 victory at home to Port Vale with strikes from Matt Green, Michael Bostwick and Luke Waterfall.

22nd November:

Lincoln City have slipped to 11th in League Two after a 1 - nil defeat to Colchester.

It was Sammie Szmodics goal just 3 minutes into the game that cost The Imps the game, with City unable to regain the initiative over the 90 minutes.

21st November:

Lincoln City travel to Colchester in League Two later.

The Imps look to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Coventry at the weekend.

20th November

Micheal Bostwick won't be joining Lincoln City as they travel to Colchester tomorrow.

He pulled his hamstring during the latter stages of the Imps 2 - 1 home defeat to Coventry, likely ruling him out for the next few weeks.

11th November

It was an amazing second half that gave Lincoln City a 4-1 win at Crewe yesterday.

The Imps were 1-nil down at half time, after an early goal from Michael Raynes.  After the break though, Harry Anderson scored twice. Raynes then got an own goal with Elliot Whitehead getting Lincoln’s 4th in added time.

8th November:

Lincoln City are through to the next stage of the Checkatrade Trophy after beating Notts County.

The final score was 2-1 thanks to an own goal and one from Josh Ginelly to give them the advantage.

4th November:

There’s to be no lengthy FA Cup run for Lincoln City this season – they’re out, at the first time of asking.

The Imps lost 1-nil at Wimbledon yesterday.

Last season saw them reach the Quarter finals.

29th October:

It was a goalless draw for Lincoln City against Crawley yesterday afternoon.

The Imps are sitting in the ninth place in League Two.

22nd October:

Lincoln City suffered in the winds of Storm Brian, losing 1-nil at Cheltenham.

21st October:

Lincoln City have been training at the National Football Centre at St. George's Park, as they prepare for today's clash away to Cheltenham.

Micheal Bostwick will be sitting the game out, having picked up his fifth booking of the season on Tuesday.

That's created competition in the starting 11, with Elliot Whitehouse is tipped to replace him.

18th October:

It was victory for Lincoln City - the match in Swindon saw them win 1-nil thanks to a header from Sean Raggett in the second half.

The Imps will look to follow Grimsby's result as they next head to Cheltenham.

15th October:

It was a goalless draw for Lincoln City against Cambridge. But that means they've gone four games unbeaten.

14th October:

Lincoln City will be without Sean Raggett for their match against Cambridge United at Sincil Bank.

He's serving a one match ban, with Luke Waterfall expected to come back into the team.

The Imps currently sit 10th in League Two.

7th October: 

Lincoln City took the full three points at Sincil Bank.

They beat Chesterfield, with Michael Bostwick getting the first, a debut for the club. The second was an own goal for Chesterfield’s Andy Kellet, deflecting a Harry Anderson cross it into his own net.

6th October

Lincoln City are playing Chesterfield at home.

The Imps last game saw them in a goalless draw in the Grimsby Town local derby.

They'll still be without Billy Knott though.

26th September

Lincoln City will be without Billy Knott for tonight's game against Barnet at home - after losing an appeal over a red card.

It's after an incident at the weekend when the club played Notts County. It means he can't play for three games.

24th September

It was dissapointment for Lincoln City, as they went down 4 - 1 in their derby against Notts County.

Billy Knott was controversially sent off after a high tackle, while former Imp Terry Hawkridge netted for their opponents late in the game.

Harry Anderson scored the goal for city early in the second half.

23rd September

Lincoln City are making the short trip to local rivals Notts County.

Around 4,500 Imps fans are making the journey down the A46 to watch.

It'll be tough as their hosts are currently second in League Two.

17th September

Lincoln City have lost for the first time at home in almost a year!

They went down 1-0 to Mansfield Town at Sincil Bank.

16th September

It's derby day for Lincoln City - they're welcoming Mansfield to Sincil Bank.

Manager Danny Cowley says they're coping with the busy schedule.

It's also an early kick off - they start at 1pm.

9th September

Lincoln City chalked up a good 2-1 away victory at Stevenage. Sean Raggett and Ollie Palmer with a penalty secured all 3 points for their first away win of the season in the league.

League Two rivals Lincoln City managed a goalless draw with Luton.

2nd September

The mood in the Lincoln City squad is good - they got their first league win last weekend.

They're hosting Luton Town this afternoon.

26th August

Lincoln City beat Carlisle 4-1 in League Two.  

Alex Woodyard scored twice, with a Matt Rhead penalty and Billy Knott late goal securing the points.

19th August

The Imps lost 1-0 to Exeter City 

12th August:

Lincoln City have their first home game of the season.

The Imps are hosting Morecombe.

8th August:

Giantkillers Lincoln City are away at former Championship side Rotherham United in the League Cup.

Last season they had two incredbile cup runs in the FA Cup and Trophy.

They drew against Wycombe Wanderers 2-2 in their debut in the Football League.

6th August

Lincoln City's return to league football ended in a share of the points, with a 2-2 draw at Wycombe.

Matt Green and Josh Ginelly got the goals for the Imps.

5th August

It's been a long time coming... but Lincoln City are back to playing league football this afternoon.

They're on the road to Wycombe Wanderers.

There'll be plenty of excitement after the Imps won promotion and won over plenty of new fans last season.

3rd August

Lincoln City have made another signing just before the start of their season.

Former Wales international defender Neal Eardley is on a short term loan with the Imps until January.

1st August

Lincoln City have secured a former England youth international player on loan.

Defender Rob Dickie has joined the Imps from Reading for six months.

The club are hoping they can make the deal permanent.
