20th January

Gainsborough Trinity's fixture with Bradford Park Avenue was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch

17th January

Lee Beevers has left Gainsborough Trinity - who he only joined at the beginning of this month.

The former Lincoln City player will be heading to a coaching role at Alfreton Town where he'll be under former Imps manager Chris Moyses. 

Beevers had retired from professional football after injury when still with Lincoln before then joining Trinity.

13th January

Gainsborough Trinity suffered a one nil home defeat to Nuneaton.

9th January

Gainsborough Trinity’s long awaited first round proper in the FA trophy ended in defeat. 

The game with Evostik side Spennymoor Town had already been postponed four times because of bad weather.

Trinity lost 5-3 on penalties after the two sides initially drew 4-4 in their match. 

7th January

Gainsborough Trinity have dropped a couple of places, to 20th in the National North.

It’s after yesterdays 4-nil defeat at Blyth. Two goals each from Greg Rutherford and Sean Reid gave them the win.

5th January

Gainsborough Trinity have announced yet another signing, after a busy week of transfers.

Simon Russell rejoins the team on a free transfer from North Ferriby - the same team he left for 18 months ago.

4th January

Gainsborough Trinity's long awaited FA Trophy first round fixture at Spennymoor Town has been called off again!

It's now been postponed 4 times because of poor weather.

They're now hoping to play on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Meanwhile Trinity have signed Adam Smith from Alfreton.

The 32 year old was previously with the club during the 2008 to 2009 season.

Also Lincoln City full back Lee Beevers is staying with them until the end of the season

2nd January

Gainsborough Trinity and Boston United battled it out in a 1-1 draw.

It was their second derby in less than a week.


Gainsborough Trinity goalie Henrick Ravas has had his loan extended until the end of January.

The 20 year old Slovakian player has been with Trinity since before the August bank holiday.

1st January

Its another derby clash for Gainsborough, as they host Boston United.

The two sides last met on Boxing day... the Pillgrims won the bragging rights with a 2-nil win.

30th December

Gainsborough Trinity’s FA Trophy tie with Spennymoor was postponed again, because of the weather – they’re hoping to play on Thursday instead.

26th December

Boston United beat Gainsborough Trinity 2-0. Brad Abbott and Jay Rollins both scored

23rd December:

Gainsborough Trinity celebrated a good 3-1 home win over Darlington. 

Ashley Worsfold, Shane Clarke and Nathan Jarman scored for Gainsborough.

21st December:

Gainsborough Trinity will now face Spennymore Town in the FA trophy on Saturday the 30th of December. 

It was meant to be on Tuesday but was postponed because of the weather - the FA have decided it will go to penalities if the game is level after extra time. 

19th December:

Gainsborough Trinity's FA Trophy first round match with Spennymoor Town had been called off again.

The rearranged fixture was due to take place tonight, but it's been cancelled because of a partly frozen pitch.

18th December:

Gainsborough Trinity look to progress through to the next round of the FA trophy tonight.

They're away to Spennymoor Town after the first round match was called off over the weekend.

The FA have agreed that today's fixture will be played to its conclusion, so will go to penalties if needed.

12th December:

Gainsborough Trinity's match against Chorley this evening has been called off, as the pitch is frozen solid.

Their Saturday match at Leamington was also called off for the same reason.

2nd December:

Gainsborough Trinity lost 3-0 at Kidderminster.  All three goals came in the second half.

25th November:

Gainsborough Trinity are through to the next round of the FA trophy..

Trinity enjoyed a 2 nil home win over Stafford Rangers.

22nd November

It was Gainsborough Trinity who took home the silverware in the Lincolnshire County Cup final against Boston United.

They won in dramatic fashion - on penalties - after the game ended 2 - all.

21st November

Gainsborough Trinity host Boston United in the Lincolnshire County Cup final.

19th November

Gainsborough Trinity beat FC United of Manchester 1-nil thanks to Ashley Worsfold’s 7th minute goal.

13th November

Gainsborough Trinity have entered the third round qualifying for the FA Trophy - Trinity have drawn Stafford Rangers at home.

11th November

Gainsborough Trinity lost 2-0 at Brackley

4th November

Gainsborough Trinity are hoping a bumper crowd can roar them through to the second round of the FA cup today.

They're at home to Slough with manager Dave Frecklington hoping fans can give them a boost.

2nd November:

Gainsborough Trinity have sold almost 800 tickets for their FA Cup 1st round proper match this weekend.

The club say they've had amazing support as they prepare to take on Slough.

Gainsborough Trinity beat Curzon Ashton 1-0 yesterday afternoon.

It was share of the points in a 2-all draw for Gainsborough Trinity at Southport.

21st October:

Gainsborough Trinity are away to Southport.

15th October:

Gainsborough Trinity are through to the first round proper of the FA Cup.

They came from 1-0 down at half time to beat Harrogate 2-1, yesterday.

Nathan Jarman and Michael Jacklin were the scorers, putting them in to the draw.

14th October:

It's the fourth and final qualifying round of the FA Cup this weekend.

Gainsbrough Trinity are going to Harrogate.

7th October:

Gainsborough Trinity came from behind to beat Tamworth away.

Final score 2-1.

4th October

Gainsborough Trinity have sealed a place in the next round of the FA Cup, after a 2 - nil win in their replay against Leamington.

Nathan Jarman and Bradley Wells got the goals for Trinity.

2nd October

Gainsborough Trinity have a replay tomorrow in the FA Cup after a goalless draw over the weekend at Leamington.

Trinity could face either Bradford Park Avenue or Harrogate Town if they make it through to the Fourth Round.

Gainsborough Trinity suffered a 1 - nil loss against Salford City.

Gainsborough Trinity are at home to Salford.

Gainsborough Trinity are through to the next round of the FA Cup after beating Spennymoor 2-1 yesterday.

They'll find out who they'll next face tomorrow in the FA Cup draw.

It's the FA Cup for Gainsborough Trinity - they're travelling to Spennymoor.

Trinity will be hoping to have a memorable cup run.

Gainsborough Trinity lost 1-0 at Stockport but Dave Frecklington say he is seeing a lot of positives and his team are giving him everything.

Gainsborough Trinity are away to Nuneaton Town.

There were plenty of goals in last night's Gainsborough Trinity fixture against Darlington.

Trinity eventually lost out 4 - 3, after goals from Ioan Evans, Ashley Worsford and Nathan Jarman.

6th August:

Gainsborough Trinity started their new season with a loss.

Trinity lost 2-1 to Leamington.

5th August:

It's the first day of the new season for Gainsborough Trinity.

Manager Dave Frecklington's side start the campaign at home to Leamington.

29th July:

Gainsborough Trinity lost 4-2 to Buxton

16th July:

A young Lincoln City side have crashed out of the Lincolnshire County Cup after a 4 - 1 defeat at the hands of Gainsborough Trinity.

Former Imp Alex Simmons got two for trinity, with scoresheet contributions from Bradley Wells and Ashley Worsford.

Kyle Watkins picked up the only goal for the imps.
