Scunthorpe win, Grimsby Town draw but Lincoln City slip to defeat.

Scunthorpe United secured a much needed 2-1 win at home to Coventry last night.

The Iron had to come from behind to clinch all 3 points but did have a man advantage for much of the game after Coventry were reduced to 10 men following an off the ball incident.

Paddy Madden and Lyle Taylor were the Scunthorpe scorers.

Manager Russ Wilcox was delighted to secure the points.

Lincoln City manager Gary Simpson once again was unhappy with his teams defence as the Imps lost 2 nil at Welling.

A goal in each half saw Lincoln slip to their 5th defeat in six.

Simpson couldn't hide his disappointment at the end of the match.

Grimsby Town picked up a point last night at Halifax drawing one all.

The Yorkshiremen took the lead through a free kick just 4 minutes in.

However Mariners' pressure saw Scott Neilson equlaise on 14 minutes and that's the way it stayed.

Afterwards manager Paul Hurst said he was pleased with a draw away to a team expected to be challenging for promotion come the end of the season.

Elsewhere Grantham Town suffered a one nil home defeat at the hands of Rushall Olympic.
