The UK is to double the number of armed RAF drones in Afghanistan to 10 with the new aircraft to be operated remotely - for the first time - from Britain.
The Ministry of Defence says pilots based at RAF Waddington in
Lincolnshire will fly the five hi-tech vehicles.
The announcement comes after several months of protests and opposition.
