SPORT: Lincoln para-athlete Mark Conway to compete at 2018 Commonwealth Games

A Lincoln athlete has been selected to compete in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Mark Conway will compete in the para-triathlon events in Australia in April.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist Alistair Brownlee will take a break from Iron Man long distance races to defend his triathlon title at the games in April.

He'll compete alongside brother Jonny in the individual and mixed-relay events on Australia's Gold Coast.

But defending women's champion Jodie Stimpson isn't selected, with Olympic bronze medallist Vicky Holland leading England's women.

Jess Learmonth, Sophie Coldwell and Tom Bishop complete the team alongside para-triathletes Jade Jones, Lizzie Tench, Joe Townsend and Mark Conway.
