Freezing temperatures and exceptionally heavy wintry showers has caused major disruption throughout Lincolnshire and Newark.
The worst wintry weather since 2010 has brought severe driving conditions, several roads are impassible with lorries and cars getting stuck - even on some major routes.
Many cars across the region have been abandoned as drivers find they're struggling to move. The A1 near Stamford is particularly badly affected.
Lincolnshire Police say there have been about 70 collisions in the county since about 7 o'clock this morning.
Around Lincolnshire and Newark about 300 schools are closed
All outpatient appointmnts at Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospital are cancelled today, with the exception of diagnostics.
Hospitals in Grantham, Lincoln and Boston have cancelled all non-urgent outpatient clinics and operations.
Its also hit services like Meals On Wheels - Care4All in North East Lincolnshire say they're still running meals out to people but there may be some delays.
Many bus and rail services have been cancelled - there are no buses currently running in Lincoln and there's only a limited service running in Grimsby.
