A group of highly organised burglars who targeted dozens of homes throughout Lincolnshire have been jailed for a total of 28 and a half years.
The five men were based in Wisbech but orginally came from Latvia.
They were described as like a "plague of locusts" breaking into the homes of elderly people and stealing cash and jewellery before moving onto another area.
Operating across 4 counties including Lincolnshire, cases were discovered in Boston, Sleaford, Spalding and Skegness.
Two defendants have been found guilty of conspiracy to burgle and sentenced to ten years and 7 years respectively.
Another two pleaded guilty to the same offence and were given 3 years and 7 years respectively.
A 5th pleaded guilty to burglary and jailed for 18 months.
A 6th will stand trial in December.
