Scunthorpe con-man jailed after stealing from house

A con-man from Scunthorpe who stole from a woman, after telling her he was from the 'water board,' has been jailed.

35-year-old Jackie O'Neil, formerly of Old School Lane, Keadby, was found in a woman's back garden in Lowdham - he told her was dealing with a burst water pipe.

After he asked her to hold onto the taps - he went inside her house and stole jewellery and cash before jumping over the garden fence.

He's been sentenced to 4 years and 4 months in prison.
