As plans to close 13 ambulance stations in Lincolnshire are aired, there are calls for the county to ditch East Midlands Ambulance Service and set up it's own.
Earlier this week EMAS announced they were streamlining their service in a bid to improve response times, by replacing ambulance stations with designated hotspots like laybys and car parks.
But Lincolnshire County Councillor and Chair of the Health Scrutiny Committee has written to the Secretary of State calling for an independent ambulance service, covering historic Lincolnshire, which would include North and North East Lincolnshire.
