NHS in Lincolnshire gets £2.4m winter funding boost

Health services in Lincolnshire are getting an extra £2.4m to help them cope with increased demand over the winter period.

The county's hospitals will get £800,000 of the cash with GPs, community health services and the ambulance service sharing the rest.

At our hospitals therapy services will now be available for 7 days a week with extended hours, will more doctors will be working over weekends and bank holidays.

Health bosses are hoping it'll help them cope with huge pressures, which have led to long delays for those waiting for treatment.

They're also hoping it'll speed up the discharge process.
