Controversial part night streetlight policy to be reviewed

Lincolnshire County Council say there could be tweaks to the policy, which see lights go out after midnight, but the move is meant to be permanent.

Leaders will look at some slight 'tweaks' to their policy of turning street lights off at midnight in Lincolnshire.

A review of the policy takes place today - the County Council argue it's saved money and is good for the environment.

They also say people need to get used to it as there won't be any major U turns.

One place where the lights have been switched off, prompting complaints, is on the A46 between Caistor and Nettleton.
