Louth and Horncastle's MP says it's huge privilege to be the first MP from the 2015 intake to be selected to a Ministerial role.

Victoria Atkins has been reflecting on her year in politics and her promotion to Parliamentary under secretary of state for Crime, Safeguarding and Vulnerability.

She says the work she is doing also affects her constituency.
