Last day for Scunthorpe steelworkers to join legal action against British Steel

It's the last day for British Steel workers in Scunthorpe who've developed life-limiting breathing illnesses and lung cancer to take legal action.

Thousands of workers breathed in dusts and fumes whilst working at coking plants and today's the final day they can sign up to take the company to court.

Insurers for British Steel have already admitted it was in breach of its duty from 1947, until they provided appropriate breathing protection.
