Increased security at Lincoln Christmas Market

The whole market is being monitored from a control room, to make sure visitors stay safe

250,000 people are expected to visit the city over the next 4 days.

There's increased security as this year's Lincoln Christmas Market

Armed police will be patrolling the streets and roads will be shut at junctions as thousands visit it over the next four days.  

Police say it's precautionary and not in response to any specific intelligence or threats.

The 4 day event is a major boost to the local economy, bringing in thousands for local businesses.
