Humberside Police issue warning to 'paedophile hunters'

Humberside Police have issued a stark warning to so called 'paedophile hunters' - saying the vigilante groups can 'create more problems than they solve'.

In a statement they say that while they share concerns about those who prey on children - the actions of vigilantes can be 'problematic', especially when they stream confrontations with suspected paedophiles online.

Last year 52 year old Derrick Blackwell - formerly of Harlech Way in Grimsby - was jailed for 3 years.

Its after he was caught by the group 'Silent Justice' trying to meet a teenager in the town.

The confrontation was streamed on Facebook Live.
