Grainthorpe man banned from keeping animals

A man from Grainthorpe has been told that he'll not be allowed to have anything to do with animals for the next five years.

56-year-old Dereke Elam from Mill Lane was found guilty at Lincoln Magistrates Court of causing unnecessary suffering of his jack Russell Terrier, and causing unnecessary suffering to five other dogs. 

Elam will have to carry out 120 hours of community service and was give a community rehabilitation order for 35 days. He's also been ordered to pay back court costs.
