A four year old Grimsby girls undergoing emergency plastic surgery after being mauled by a dog.
Officers were called to a house on Langton Drive in the town yesterday where the child been attacked by a neighbours dog.
She was taken to hospital with a head injury and has been transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary for surgery.
The dog, thought to be an American Akita was removed from the address and destroyed.
